Slovenia offers exceptional cross-country skiing and the best known area for this, Pokljuka, is 20-25 minutes drive from Koprivnik. For good cross-country skiing elsewhere, the unspoilt valley of Logarska Dolina in the Solčavsko area is just over two hours drive away, and was named the European Destination of Excellence (EDEN) for 2009.
For downhill skiers, the resort of Vogel is 45 minutes drive away, and Kobla 20 minutes away. Vogel has a variety of runs for beginners to advanced skiers and is reached by cable car. Please click here for further local information.
